The longest day of the year is right around the corner.

Summer Solstice, or the longest day of the year, falls on Thursday 21 June. This is the date when the sun is directly above the Tropic of Cancer, so there will be more sunlight hours than any other day of the year.

This Summer Solstice you can expect the sun to rise in the UK on Wednesday at 4:43 am. Sunset will be at 9:21 pm which means there will be a total of 16 hours and 38 minutes of sunlight during this year’s summer solstice, the sun will be highest in the sky at 1:02 pm.

The day also marks, believe it or not here in the often rainy UK, the middle of summer.

Good morning! This day only comes once a year, so set your alarm, pour a cup of coffee, and enjoy watching what is sure to be a spectacular early sunrise, knowing there is an entire 16-hours of sunlight ahead of you to enjoy.

6am

You’ve now got plenty of time before work starts, so use this time wisely. Over a nice cup of tea and some toast, why not browse through some online property listings, if you’re considering of making a big move. You might even be able to organise some last-minute house viewings in, you’ve got a long day ahead after all! There’s no better time to sell a property or buy a property.
