Schools out for summer! That means one thing…family summer holidays are on the horizon and your kids will be hounding you for fun things to do over the coming weeks.

Well don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! We have compiled a list of fun and exciting things worth doing throughout the summer season:

Liverpool

Unleash your inner ninja at the Ninja Warrior course

Are you and your family big Ninja Warrior fans?

Well now you have the chance to become a Ninja Warrior expert and experience the course yourself with the Ninja Warrior course at Speke!

You can expect to encounter the dueling podiums, take on the world famous Warped Wall and various tricky and fun obstacles throughout.

There is also a Mini Ninjas soft play area for younger children to also enjoy and experience the fun of Ninja Warrior.

Open dates and times: From 22nd July to 30th August, Ninja Warrior are offering ’ Warrior Summer School’ children aged 4+ priced at £15.00 per person

For a normal 1 hour Ninja Session, the obstacle course is open throughout the whole of the summer season, with prices at £13.95 (children aged 4+) per person

Make a big splash at Splash Art

Splash Art is an interactive art studio, giving visitors of all ages the opportunity to express themselves through various styles of art.

Guests are encouraged to get messy, get creative and celebrate their joy with this unique art experience on offer! At the end of the 1 hour slot, guests will be given the opportunity to take home their own unique work of art.

There are various fun experiences available from Splash Art Experience to the Splatter Experience and a Sip and Paint experience. Family bookings are available if you want to make it a fun family day out.

Take your fun to the MAX at Gravity Max this summer

Maximum fun to be had at Gravity Max this summer!

At the heart of Liverpool One, Gravity Max is THE entertainment venue for visitors of Liverpool, providing plenty of fun with activities, music, food and drinks on offer!

Activities available throughout each floor includes: E-Karting, AR bowling, immersive game boxes, arcades, crazy golf and more!

Have a roaring good time at Knowsley Safari Park

Knowsley Safari Park have a whole host of fun events available for families of all ages to enjoy throughout the summer, including: The Gruffalo (21st July), Dinosaurs (22nd – 26th July and 29th July – 2nd August), Bubblefest (4th August and 18th August) and The Realm (19th August – 30th August), just to name a few!

While you enjoy your visit to the safari, why not take the foot safari or safari drive to get up close and personal with many of your favourite animals including lions, rhinos and baboons.

Bright Lights, Big Fun at the Trafford Centre

A giant beach and splash park are returning to The Trafford Centre this summer along with its popular fairground.

Bright Lights, Big Fun features a massive 600 square metre beach outside The Great Hall, a giant splash park equipped with multiple water jets and fairground rides for kids of all ages.

Bright Lights, Big Fun runs from July 26 to September 1, opening daily from 12pm to 8pm. Entry costs £2.50 plus booking fees, or £3.50 on the gate. Ride tokens are sold separately at £1 each. Pre-booking is recommended via the website here.

Do you have Hot Wheels fanatics in your family? Then you need to take them to the Hot Wheels City Experience this summer!

An interactive event that celebrates the legendary toy cars arrives in Manchester for the first time this summer and make its European debut throughout August and September.

Fans of all generations will enjoy this unique and educational experience and is sure to make it an unbelievable family day out. Throughout the event there will be game zones, playgrounds, labs and an immersive museum to visit.

Is Batman your favourite superhero?

An hugely exciting exhibition dedicated to Batman is coming to Manchester this summer, promising fans who visit the opportunity to experience the Batman world like never before.

Throughout, fans will be given the opportunity to explore and discover a deep collection of original props, costumes and more from Warner Bros. films based around the caped crusader ranging from the original  Batman movie back in 1989 where Michael Keaton starred as Batman, all the way to the most recent outing from Robert Pattinson in The Batman in 2022.

Visitors will also be given a free-flow comic book at the end of your visit and also the chance to take part in the gaming area, as well as check out the merchandise retail store.
