The successful candidate will provide a one-stop residential conveyancing service to both direct clients and broker/introducer markets. As a fee earner you will be adapting to constantly changing requirements and deadlines. You need to be versatile and have the ability to work as part of a team. You will be prioritising a varied workload, working under pressure in a busy environment, whilst ensuring targets and deadlines are met.
Alongside a recognised legal qualification (preferred), it is essential that you have previous experience of working within a high volume environment with a sound and demonstrable knowledge of all aspects of residential conveyancing. In particular you should have extensive experience of dealing with residential leasehold sales and purchases, shared ownership/ staircasing agreements, right to buy, new build, limited company buy to lets and auction properties.
Experience of dealing with short term lending and bridging finance would be preferred but not essential as training can be given.
You can expect plenty of autonomy and challenge as you will be dealing with files from inception to completion, liaising constantly with interested parties and ensuring adherence to agreed policies and timescales. Previous management of a full caseload with minimal supervision and use of a case management system will be second nature to you.
Due to the high level of client contact required in this role you must possess excellent communication and client care skills. You must also possess accurate keyboard skills and meticulous attention to detail.
