A key role has arisen within our Accounts team for a departmental Manager who will have responsibility for managing and supporting the existing team, processes and procedures.
Reporting to the Partner/Corporate Accountant, the ideal candidate will have previous legal finance experience. Within this role, your key duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Authorisation of TT’s
- Assisting with the maintenance and preparation of bank reconciliations on the client and office accounts
- Managing the purchase ledger and dealing with suppliers as necessary
- Residual balances and client suspense
- Manage daily cash flow reports
- Assist in maintaining fixed asset register and depreciation journal
- Daily client to office transfer
- Manage out of date cheques
- Supervise company credit card
- Deal with month end processes
- Calculating monthly bonuses
- Liaise with the bank
- Assist with Audit reporting
- Ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and maintenance of the breach register
- Ad hoc duties as required
Experience and skills required:
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Excellent PC/Keyboard skills (minimum 30 words per minute)
- Organisational and time management skills
- Proven track record of managing a team
- Ability to work as part of a team and liaise with people throughout all levels of the organisation
Hours of work – Monday – Friday 9.15am – 5.15pm
