This Wirral town is the best in England to live, according to new research

Published: 02/03/2017

The Wirral’s Bebington has been named the best postcode in England for quality of life.

The outer Liverpool town comes out on top when it comes to quality of schools, access to green spaces, employment prospects, working hours, affordable housing and average commuting times, among other factors.

The study, by the Centre for Economics and Business Research, said Bebington residents “enjoy the ideal balance of living close to work, having access to good schools and high employment rates”. It was also named a top spot to live in the same survey in 2015.

Emma Coffey, Head of Sales and Goldsmith Williams and the firm’s property guru, comments:

“Goldsmith Williams may now be a national firm, but we are very much born, bred and based in Liverpool, and conveyancing is indeed our bread and butter, and has been for 30 years.

“So of course the news that one of our lovely Wirral towns is England’s nicest place to live is wonderful to hear.

“When deciding where to purchase a property, our clients tell us they look for good schools, green space for the family to enjoy and a good work-life-balance through, for example, short commutes. This research suggests that Bebington has all of these attractive qualities and more. Definitely it is a great place to purchase a house.

“As always though, I would strongly urge anyone who is considering a property purchase to enlist the help of a great team of professionals to ensure the process goes as smoothly as possible.”
