Niche firm granted ABS status

A niche Northamptonshire law firm has become the latest practice to receive an alternative business structure licence.

Strata Solicitors Limited focuses exclusively on handling liability claims for self insured companies.

Founded in 2011 by solicitor, Paul Davies and insurance professional, Richard Fearn, the firm, comprising of 48 staff members, acts for a small number of very large clients with their largest fleet consisting of over 400 vehicles.

Mr Davies explains the importance of their ABS status:

“Because we wanted to have non-lawyers among our senior management team, and offer all our non-lawyers long term progression in the business we have converted to ABS status. Although we remain the same legal entity, achieving this format provides us with true flexibility for the future growth of our bespoke corporate services in a market dominated by larger companies.”
