Let's get festive! GW staff get charitable this Christmas
Published: 08/12/2016
Staff at Goldsmith Williams will again be putting on their charitable (Santa?) hats this festive period, to help raise funds for good causes.
Each year, one staff member in particular, Carole Yelland, holds a Christmas raffle in aid of the Sam Bencheikh Memorial Fund, supporting Tranmere Rovers in the Community. Carol’s efforts have seen GW raise several thousands of pounds to support the charity, which was set up following the death of 18-year-old Sam, a coach for a disabled childrens’ football team.
Each year, Carol holds a festive raffle to support the cause. Thus far, GW has helped Tranmere Rovers in the Community purchase an adapted minibus, a van and various types of equipment.
Meanwhile, staff at GW will also be getting involved in the giving spirit by taking part in the Shoe Box Full of Love Appeal.
The appeal asks people to make up shoe boxes filled with the things we take for granted on a daily basis. It is then given to homeless and vulnerable men, women and children across Merseyside.
Furthermore this festive season, all GW staff will be showcasing their finest Christmas attire, as the firm once again raises money for Save The Children’s Christmas Jumper Day, next Friday, 16 December.
Check out pictures of the team in their best red, green and glittery jumpers at GW’s Facebook (/Goldsmith.Williams) or Twitter (@GWSolicitors). Stay tuned to find out which cheerful outfits reign supreme this year.
