Goldsmith Williams launches legal solution for bridging borrowers

Published: 07/11/2012

Goldsmith Williams has launched Bridging Borrower Direct, a solution for borrowers taking out a bridging loan to finance the purchase of property.

The scheme looks to overcome the legal hurdles associated with bridging with an aim to prevent delays which are caused by a lack of understanding of the legal process.

Bridging is a specialist area of law, one that can flummox many solicitors and conveyancers. Unfortunately it is all too common to hear “horror” stories about delays occurring when the borrower’s solicitors lock horns with the lender’s lawyer at a crucial part of the transaction. Any such delays can not only increase the risk of the transaction failing to proceed, it can also result in the borrower paying two sets of legal fees.

As a legal bridging specialist, acknowledged most recently at the Bridging and Commercial awards where we were named Highly Commended Legal Partner, our nationwide Bridging Borrowers Direct scheme will:

  • Provide a dedicated specialist legal service to borrowers
  • Deal with lenders legal formalities^ on witnessing the mortgage deed by unique arrangements we have in place
  • Deal with the matter on a competitive fixed fee basis with no hidden charges.

For more information, please call us on 0845 373 3737 or complete our online enquiry form and a member of our specialist bridging team will be in touch shortly.

^Subject to any lenders particular requirements.
