Goldsmith Williams is proud to support Will Aid 2012

Published: 12/10/2012

Write a Will and protect your loved ones and help others in need November is Will Aid month. Will Aid is a scheme designed to encourage you to make your Will and, instead of paying the solicitor, you are asked to make a donation which will then be shared between Will Aid’s nine selected charities.

It is a fantastic opportunity to not only protect your loved ones but to also help others in real need. Will Aid is raising money for the following nine charities who, between them, are trying to make a difference across the UK and beyond:

• Action Aid
• Age UK
• British Red Cross
• Christian Aid
• NSPCC
• Save the Children
• SCIAF
• Sightsavers
• Trocaire.

Goldsmith Williams is proud to support Will Aid and call itself one of their Good Solicitors. We will not charge for any basic Wills we write in November and instead ask you donate the money you would have spent on making a Will to Will Aid.

The suggested minimum donation is:

• £90 for a Single Will
• £135 for Couples Wills

Making a Will, despite what you may think, is essential for everyone whether you have a million in the bank or a tenner in your back pocket. If anything else, it makes life that little bit easier for your loved ones left to sort everything out.

A recent study has shown two thirds of people in the UK do not have a valid legal Will, many of whom are parents of young children. Should anything happen to them, there is no guarantee who would end up looking after their children.
If you are one of these people who have been thinking about making a Will but keep putting it off, now is the time to finally get round to it. Just think of how satisfying it would be to finally get everything in order, the peace of mind you’ll have knowing your loved ones are provided for and protected whatever happens. And, then add that warm feeling you’ll get, knowing you’ve also helped someone else who needed help. Talk about a good deed!
