Fun Family Days Out During Summer 2022

The summer holidays are just around the corner and while a lot of families will look to enjoy a holiday abroad or a staycation, there will be a lot looking at what fun activities and days out they can enjoy throughout England.
Well don’t worry! Sit back and relax as we compile a list of things we think is worth considering doing throughout Liverpool, Manchester and London this summer:
Liverpool
Summer blockbusters at the cinema
There are a host of blockbuster films heading to cinemas this summer, including the highly anticipated Lightyear (17 June), Minions: The Rise of Gru (1 July) and DC League of Super-Pets (29 July) just to name a few. You’re spoilt for choice!

Become a track-star at the TeamSport Go Karting
Are you looking for something a bit different and want the bragging rights of being king or queen of the track for the day? Why not visit TeamSport Go Kart! They have a range of race types available including specific family and kid themed races to enjoy during your visit!

Hit the waves with the Mersey River Cruise
How does a family fun day out, where you learn about some of the great Liverpool history sound? Well, that’s what is on offer should you go on the famous Mersey River Cruise! This is a must for families of all ages this summer.
You’ll be able to take in historic landmarks such as the Albert Dock, the Three Graces and two cathedrals. The cruise lasts for approx. 50 minutes, and also aims to help children learn about and enjoy The Beatles connection, and UNESCO World Heritage waterfront.

Test your aerial ability at The Climbing Hangar
Kids love to climb and explore, so which better way to show off their skills and abilities than visiting The Climbing Hangar!
Based near Sandhills in Liverpool, this attraction is suited for children aged 4-7 years old, with a range of climbing apparatus available from the beginners climbing wall, to pirate ships, crawling tunnels, and slides to explore!
There is also a chance to book climbing lessons with a professional instructor. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Bounce around at Spring City
Liverpool’s first trampoline park is based on Brunswick Dock, and is home to almost 100 trampolines, basketball nets and dodgeball courts! There is also a café available for friends and families to enjoy food and drink breaks.

Manchester
Learn more about the beautiful game at the National Football Museum
If you’re a family full of football fanatics, then visiting the National Football Museum is a must!
You can delve into the social history and culture of the most popular sport in England, with fascinating objects and shirts throughout, to show how football become the sport we know and love today.
From Premier League trophies, to the World Cup trophy that the England team won in 1966, the museum has it all.

Monkey around at the London Zoo
Who doesn’t love the zoo? The London Zoo has a mixture of animals on offer to see, from favourites like monkeys, elephants, and giraffes to the aquarium, it has it all. You will get lost for hours on end in this animal kingdom.

Cast a spell and become a wizard at the Harry Potter Studios
If you and your family are big Harry Potter fans, then you NEED to visit the Warner Bros Studio Tour – The Making of Harry Potter, this summer!
There are a range of attractions, props, and interactive activities to enjoy from the famous film series, including visiting the Forbidden Forest, tasting a Butterbeer and strolling through Diagon Alley.
